NBA Playoffs , Midway through the second round

Today I want to isolate two series in the second round of the NBA playoffs.  The Orlando Magic vs. Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers.

These are two very interesting series indeed. But, they are not interesting because they are going to be great series that come down to the wire. It is in my estimation at the time of publishing this that these will be blowouts. Cleveland has dominated all year (66-16 record) and will not be tripped up by the slightly above average, but much improved, Hawks team (47-35). The Hawks took 7 games to knock off the Heat.  The Miami Heat is a team that is very lucky the NBA expanded it's playoff system to 8 teams in each conference.  Dwayne Wade is very good, but the team is loaded with young pups. They will get very good in years to come, if they sign Wade back next year or this off-season. Anyhow, it is our humble opinions that the Cavs may very well sweep this Hawks team and not look back once.

The same holds true for the Magic and Celtics. But this has not been the case all year. When Garnett was hurt late in the season, it changed the whole dynamic of this team.  Boston has a much better record on paper, but that is BG (Before Garnet's Injury).  Now the team really is a rag tag of older players and even a wanna be or two (see Big Baby Davis and Starbury).  We pick the Magic to win pretty easily in this series, somewhere around 4 games to 2. And two games for Boston is being generous.

That is our take. Check back next week as we preview the Yankees summer now that A-Rod is back in the lineup.
